| Scx10 bad cms bump steer
Hey guys I built my mattzilla trugge that zeks05 shipped quickly to me thanks btw. I mounted the servo in the center of the trugge and when the suspension travel from all the way compressed to full rebound the whelks turn quite a bit because the angle of the tie rod. Is this normal. Sent from my I wait for it ...Phone using Tapatalk |

And mount the servo as far away from the knuckle it connects to as possible.

| Re: Scx10 bad cms bump steer You'll want to move that servo all the way to the far side of the chassis (away from the knuckle with the drag link attached. Also, if the front end is a 4 link, it will always have bump steer with a CMS. Ideally, you would want a panhard setup with a CMS.

Problem is thats a custom chassis, nobody makes a direct bolt on panhard mount. Even then the servo would be in the wrong spot for a proper setup. Move the servo back to the axle and enjoy your custom chassis |

At the very least, move it to the screw holes to the left and make or get a new link. And shave off those risers on the axle. |

Jc auto in the vendors makes a cms kit that will bolt to the axial axle and its a simple bolt on panhard mount. im sure you could drill a whole in the frame to mount it. New Vendor - JC Auto Design - 3D printed parts Just pm him he can sell you just the stuff you need. The panhard frame side isnt shown there but he makes them just ask. |

The clue with CMS and panhard is that the link from the servo and panhard has to be equally long and angled. Otherwise they will not follow eachother on suspension travel and you'll still have some bump steer. I've been looking on these awesome chassis from Mattzilla for months now. Will there be place between the rails for a axle mounted servo setup? I'm guessing many run 4 link and CMS without panhard, but just guessing |

CMS offers no benefit other than maybe more of a scale look...You actually raise your COG moving more weight up higher in the chassis then have to spend more money to fix a problem you didn't have to begin with with bump steeer..The ONLY thing I see it can help with is going through mud or snow...less of a plow effect by not having the servo catching the mud/snow...Otherwise its BS propaganda that its better...Id put the servo back on the axle unless youre looking for the "LOOK"
