Default Wraith axles?

Can the axles from the Wraith/Ridgecrest/Deadbolt be used on a fairly stock SCX10?? If so what is needed for the swap?

Looks like 10lbs of crap in a 5lb sack. I guess my best option if I want Wraith axles is to get a Wraith.

Personally I see no need to put AR60's under a SCX10 chassis. I guess it depends on what type of build you are shooting for.

... In the eye of the beholder and all that I've never liked the looks of the wraith myself, wheelbase is too long and not a fan of buggies so much. Apparently they sold a couple of em though.

That was probably the worst example of a bent upper link that is on this site. There is absolutely no need to do that when simple off the shelf axial bent links will work perfectly in that position. You just run them on the outside of the frame in the same holes which clears everything and gives you more triangulation for added stability.

After running my scx with stock axles i opted to buy a used pair of the Wraith axles. The wider stance has made my other wise roll over prone scx more stable. Like most of the comments suggest the issue is what to do with the top links and there are a few ways to eliminate binding without having to wring out your wallet. also if you plan on running 2.2 tires this will accommodate larger tire size much better than the stock ax-10 axles.

So I'm not trying to thread jack here but which links do you run? Scx or wraith links?

Or do some homemade upper link risers to get them away from the driveshafts. I made a pair for the rear and run a cms/3link up front. Plenty of clearage

Well sounds like links are a debate-able deal, and how to mount them. Just looking around the ideas varies from build to build. I was wondering one thing. So if you are going to run AR60 axles in a scx10, then do you need to swap or change the center trans plate out for a Wraith trans plate mount or what.

So swapping to wraith axles, and links. Got that down. Now do you need a wraith center skid/trans plate, or just use the stock scx10 skid plate??
Just a question on what to use or not to use in a conversion I guess. As its not being mentioned above yet. Thanks!

The wraith skid is wider and longer than the scx, it can be done but some width needs to be added to the crossmembers as well. Easier to use an scx skid imo

I was wondering which one would be better. I was figuring the Wraith would have to be ground down to fit the c-channel and then the rest of the braces would need to ne lengthened as well. So I appreciate the reply to my Question. I would prefer to use the scx trans cross member. So that works for me. Thanks man!

I used the scx10 crossmember traxxass turnbuckles form my tmaxx bent the top links for the driveshaft clearance used xr10 ends towards the rear. the links ends had to be drilled out a little to make fit
