Default Venomous

Picked up a Rubicon kit new in box from a member here a while back and finally got around to building it. It's a mix of new and repurposed comp parts, should be durable and hopefully a performer. Here are some pics showing where I am now and I will update as the parts roll in. Some parts I am waiting on are Mayhem trail ready wheels, R2J sliders, and a RC4WD front bumper.

The inspiration, Poison Spyder Customs, Venomous:

OG Super 300's, VP zero ack highsteers, and Axial aluminum C's from my first sportsman rig.

RC4WD cms with Savox waterproof servo.

Jevne Racing battery and electronics mount.

Trans from my 2.2s rig full of aluminum gears, CI outputs, and 32 pitch spur.

RC4WD tire carrier rear bumper and rear axle that includes a Grip Fab SS LW locker.

Ready for paint, first color is drying now...

I am going to use a waterproof BRXL and a nice 27t Brood.
The guys around here like water so I'm keeping everything as waterproof as possible.

nice I ran that same CMS and battery mount set up on my Honcho! Great setup will be watching this build! Also did you have issues with your front axle being tilted to far back or did the Clockable Cs help that?

The way the directions say to set it up clocked the axle too far forward for me so I used a shorter rod end on the 3 link to fix that. Also people complain about not being able to get full articulation on the driver side with this setup. I had this problem too but a slight bend in the panhard bar solved that. The RC4WD cms is nice and with a few tweaks from the instructions it fits and everything cycles smoothly.
