Default 4 Wrangler Body on Dingo?

I was looking to get the SCX10 Jeep Wrangler crawler as I want to put together a crawler to match my actual Jeep.

Then someone mentioned they have an SCX10 Dingo they are looking to sell and the price is pretty nice so I wouldn't mind going that route instead.

Problem is I really want to make it look as much like my Jeep as I can but I've got the 4 door Wrangler...is it possible to get a 4 door Wrangler body to fit the Dingo and if so can someone explain how you do it and/or provide me with a link showing step by step instructions (I'm pretty new to all this stuff).

Would love to see pics of the Dingo with the 4 door jeep on it so I can see what it looks like to if anyone has one.

Thanks

Yep either buy the stock jk links and just swap them or make some home made ones. You can also ask some of the vendors on the forum they make some very nice sets.

IIRC you may also need a new rear driveshaft because of the increased wheelbase. other than that, the only difference between the SCX10 "models" (aka: bodies) is link and driveshaft lengths.

No, it will. It's a hobby, you've got to make it work. Luckily it is an easy thing to do.

- Make new rear links (either with all thread and tubing, Vendor's links or Axial's.
- Move the rear shock mounts back one hole. There should be an extra set of pre-drilled holes in the frame.
- Make a longer driveshaft. Your stock driveshaft maybe long enough. If not, buy some Axial Wildboar driveshafts and have at it!
- Mock up the body and ream out the body post holes
- Paint and let it dry
- Enjoy!
