I was really looking at that crossmember and that part could be totally redesigned to allow clearance to the servo horn and endlinks as well as allow the battery placement up front. From the looks of it, that part isn't under that much stress. So I have to ask......AXIAL.....are you listening??

Wow! Sounds like you fought the good fight. Good choice going with a G6.

Skip 2s and go to 3s it's that much better in every respect. 20/87 is great gearing for SCX with that motor.....on 3s.

Well after messing with this for a while, i decided to scrap the crossmember and build something that will clear the servo horn.
from this stupid desgn that axial puts out

to this, a quick fix (for now). it clears everything, and still supports the battery. This is until i make or buy a different battery mount.

Nice color choice. Coincidentally, I just finished my Jeep JK and painted it Candy Blue.

Here another picture of the battery holder I made. This picture shows the brackets and how it's mounted.

If you're interested I have more pictures and a How to here.

Thank you for commenting on my Jeep.

The battery holder is simple and effective. It places the battery low and near the center. I know you'll do a good job on yours.
