Noob question regarding wheelbase

I only recently got my first scx10 its a used jeep wrangler and after doing research I see that it has the longer wheelbase similar to the honcho(I think) I would like to go with the shorter wheelbase of the Dingo and was wondering if ordering the shorter 290mm links would be all I needed to accomplish this? Do the shock mounts need to move back to accommodate this? I'm looking at putting my blackfoot body on it and figured shortening up the wheelbase would be a good starter point.

The stock metal links on a Dingo where the shocks attach are 6x91mm, part number AX30524. The stock link ends are part number AX80032.

Sorry when I said 290mm I meant overall wheelbase length I should have clarified that. So if I wanted to put the shorter Dingo links on I wouldnt need any other parts then right? I was looking at this kit Amazon.com : Axial AX30549 Aluminum Wheelbase Links Set, 11.4/290mm : Hobby Rc Vehicle Suspension A Arms : Toys & Games

And yes you'll need to move the rear shock mounts forward to the next set of holes.
