Default G6 with Wraith interior

So I decided after posting a couple pics on the scx10 pic archive I would show you how I installed a Wraith interior in my G6.

I will spare you the build pics. What I did that is important is I mounted the tranny the other way on the chassis to allow the interior to sit directly over it for the most part. I did have to cut a tab off the tranny case.

If you look I mounted the seats directly to my brackets that I made out of some C channel aluminum and sheet aluminum. I drilled the top hole through the c-channel larger so that I could fit the mounting screw through and tighten it to the aluminum nerf bar holders from STRC.

As you can see I did have to cut the platform of the wraith interior where the seats would bolt too. They were sitting a little too high.

Everything was mounted in the rear of the jeep except the battery. I tend to take things apart a lot so i made it neat but easy to remove if needed. Everything is waterproofed so im not concerned about water damage.

The interior is actually wedge under the seats and fits in there nicely. I did have to trim on the pass side around the motor a little but it's not that bad. Over all I think it turned out ok.

Here are some pics I took with some different wheels and tires and new decals. Special thanks to Locked up RC for the bad ass wheels!!

And yes lights will be installed soon.... Thanks for looking

Very nice. I like the wheels and no body clips!

Fantastic work sir! I've thought about trying something like this since the G6 body is just the PSC Wraith body.

Great idea, turned out amazing. Nice touch color matching part of the dash & center console to the body.

Thanks everyone!!

The biggest reason for wanting to do the wraith interior was because I didn't want to cut another driver body at the waist. lol It bugged me when I built my Rubicon kit to see just the drivers upper half.

Very nice! I also thought about using the Wraith interior but then did my own interior out of styrene because I not only did the tranny flip but also the mirroring. I have planed to do it your way on my Rubicon, but mayby I will do my own interior by styrene also for it because it's fun to work with styrene...

Maybe I should write a thread about my G6 built too...

I dont mind using styrene but chose to use the wraith interior because I was trying to show guys that they could easily do this with existing parts sold by axial and not have to have any crazy skills to do it. Thanks for the compliments.

I doubt it. Unless you want to cut out more around the front of the interior.

Thanks man! Killer build it's good seeing people use extra parts or parts from other trucks instead of just buying the stuff!
