Default could any one offer some drive shaft advice?

hey just have a question about the driveshafts on the honcho. well ive lifted mine like 1 or 1 1/2 inches and clocked the axles. the truck has no binding with stock driveshafts but i was worried the stock ones werent going to be long enough and would break so i ordered 155mm junfacs the front one is going to be too long to use so i may have to get a shorter one but the rear one i put on the truck.it works good until i push on all four shocks.when i push all the shocks at the same time it binds the junfac driveshaft but it works fine if i push on the just the rear shocks does any one know how to fix this or could i cut the male end of the shaft so its not in so far?

It almost sounds like the male end is "too long" (insert joke here... and another joke for this joke)

seriously though, is it too long when compressed? got a pic of this crazy ride height?

Default could any one offer some drive shaft advice?

Okay just built my first scx10 and it is running. Really slow in reverse and fast in forward i am having a lot of diff chatter and it seems that one of the rear tires doesn't seem to be moving at the same speed. I lined up the marks on the drive shaft like the book said i also watched the yuotbe video and made sure the main king pins where lined up to. I have the 55t motor and a taser esc i am going to edit my programming to see if i can make it run the same speed. Any advice on this.

if you'll look at the shaft itself...you'll see it has a flat spot on 1 side.
halfmoon shaped..
that's whats causing the binding.

its not splined so it binds when its on the flat spot upon compression.

its a known problem with them...
rigs that have a lot of travel have this issue with these driveshafts.

when you got the model, you should have received extra drive shaft parts. Some short and some long. If you need to, you can extend the stock shafts to fit your application. Also, I would go to Lowes and buy a 3-4" 6mm bolt. The kind that is only threaded an inch or so. Cut the threads off and fill the hollow driveshaft with the bolt. cut off the excess. This will strengthen the stock driveshaft and keep it from twisting.

Should be fine.
