There's a search function below your username and private messages. This topic has been talked about numerous times. The upgrades should come as you break them.

First thing you should do is remove all of the "self tapping" wood screws on the vehicle with machine thread screws. The screws that screw into the knuckle and chub need the most attention.

Does anyone make a machine screw replacement kit? It'd like to get a bunch to fix up my honcho, most places are sold out of the screw kits though.

Nice. Did you pick it up a Playworld? Glad to see someone else from Erie!

Defiantly upgrade the suspension links and steering links. Plastic ones are way to flexible. You can easily make your own for pretty cheap. After that, I would say upgrade as you go, so you can see the improvements the upgrades make. You can throw out alot a $$$ at upgrades. It depends on how deep you pocket goes...

I built a G6 over the winter and have been waiting for warmer, dryer weather to arrive. Heres my build Hirschowl's G6 build

Harley used to sell HD hardware kits but unfortunately his supplier stopped keeping inventory (or something like that).

You're out of luck, they don't make upgrades for the Honcho anymore... only for the newer Axial Jeep's and Dingo.
Sorry.

IMO most 2.2's on the honcho are a bit big. You gotta trim the body so the wheels don't rub. It doesn't look very scale IMO. Just do a search on here to see some pics. I thought about putting 2.2's on my G6 but after some research, I found you need to do some other mods so you get the most out of running 2.2. Such as worrying about driveshaft angles, articulation, suspension lift or bigger shocks. Some Pro-line Superswampers xl 1.9 look pretty good on the honcho and from the reviews, preform pretty well too. They are about the tallest 1.9's out there on the market.

Got the truck today and so far so good. Just wondering if the honcho in the same as the other scx10 as far as frame and parts ect. Any ideas on the best shocks, suspension and steering links there really flimsy and I probably need to start there.

Yep, all SCX10 parts are the same.

Best shocks would be the Pro-Line Powerstrokes and the links you can get from VP, R2J Kustoms on RCC, make your own, or the Axial Honcho aluminum link upgrade.
