Default "My Wroncho build"

Well after seeing Zongerds Wroncho's builds and a few others it had me hooked and wanting to build one because I just love the way they look. i plan to run the new axial G6 body.

So I picked up a used Ridgecrest pretty cheap and used the axles and tranny to start with and then picked up a used SCX10 chassis from a friend and started to put it all together. After some research I decided to go with the SCX10 skid because it is a lot narrower. I seen were a lot of the builds were bending links and few other ways to get the upper links to pass the driveline so I decided to do a three link front and rear. So I ordered two of the VP wraith panhard kits and made myself some 3/16 stainless links. The tires were on the Ridgecrest that I picked up i am trying to save as much money as I can.

Parts list so far.
VP panhard kits
VP knuckles and chubs
Home made 3/16 stainless links
RC4wd king off road shock 90mm
Axial 2.2 trail ready beadlocks for mock up with .600 VP hubs

I have a lot more parts to come in here are some pics of my progress.

Just wanted to try it out and see what happens this my first venture in the scale side of things plus it was way easier to set up and if I want to do rear CMS steering in the rear its there and ready to go. If it acts weird or doesn't work I will four link the rear or try the Hot Racing sway bar kit on it.

What did you use to make the wraith panhard work on the scx10 frame? Were the included panhard and sreering links the correct length?

The panhard link is perfect the steering link does not come with panhard kit.... I used lower link brackets from a set of enroute berg axles they worked out great.

Thanks, I don't know they came on the Ridgecrest I bought to take the axles and tranny from. I may not even run them I want a set of swamper's I just have to find out what foams work the best in the swampers.

Well I got the steering setup.... the Vp SCX10 bumper mount/CMS mount worked out perfect for the Wroncho conversion. I also got the G6 body in and Mounted it up I have some new wheels and tires coming in and some electronics also. I am getting closer just have to figure out what color and type of paint job to do.

I got some new Vp Method wheels and being from Tennessee I just had to run Super Swampers because just about all 1:1's here run them. I also got some of VP's scale chubs and wraith knuckles and made some inner fenders more parts and pics to come.

Great looking build, the new wheels and tires really set it off. Those king shocks look killer too, the more I see them the more I want a set!!
