|  ok to use wd40 on rc cars?
Is it ok to use wd40 on rc cars? Seem to have some chirping noise coming from the front drive shaft where it connects to the front axle

Personally I don't use wd40 to lubricate. Only to displace water and clean. You could try it, and the chirping might temporarily go away, but it will soon return. I would find where the sound is coming from and fix the problem before I hit it with some wd40...

I use it on all my rc....but.... Stay away from bearings as it breaks down grease and oils. But wicked on plastic as it makes it easier to clean later. |

WD-40 is petroleum based and will harm plastic over time. If you need lube, use the ones that are plastic safe (e.g., used for model railroad or synthetic based). I would never let WD-40 go near plastic. Last edited by Kingmeow; 02-24-2014 at 02:03 PM. |

I always use it before I go mudding, youll wear stuff out before the wd brakes stuff down. Enjoy your truck don't be gentle on it !
