SCX10 Electronics Help Hello, I recently just purchased the SCX10 Jeep Rubicon Kit. I have been researching about these RC crawlers non-stop and I think they are awesome, so I had to get myself one! I decided on the Kit version over the RTR because it will be a fun project over the next month or two. Anyways, I had a few questions about the electronics... First off I am a newcomer to the whole RC scene, but from looking around I have an idea of what I'm trying to get. Transmitter: fs-gt3c Motor: HH TorqueMaster Sport 35T ESC: CC Sidewinder Now I am primarily going to use the SCX10 for crawling and a little trail running. Would using the TorqueMaster with the Sidewinder be a good combination for crawling? Also what battery and steering servo would work with this combination? If you guys have any suggestions, or even a new setup that would be better for a beginner, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |
Re: SCX10 Electronics Help Isnt that a brushed motor and a brush less speed controller? |
Re: SCX10 Electronics Help I know the TorqueMaster is brushed, but I had no idea the Sidewinder was brushless. What brushed esc would you recommend? |
Re: SCX10 Electronics Help Get a MMP for your esc as it can run both brushed or brushless and handle up to 6s lipo. |
You can run the sidewinder with that motor. I ran a sidewinder and 35t integrated and it was a killer setup! I prefer tekin over castle but that's my opinion. For servos I would stay away from savox IMHO just because a couple of buddies and I have had 15 go out between us last year! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |
Re: SCX10 Electronics Help sidwwinder will work with both types |
Re: SCX10 Electronics Help I recommend a HiTec servo, 7954,55,50th. All are good and can be considered the best, if you take into consideration that the company has a 2 year war. and is Very good about repairing the servos, standing by their product. Keep your receipt and your golden! Just my 2cents.... |
Re: SCX10 Electronics Help Thanks everyone for the suggestions! |
