Default Tea Yoder Truckee

Picked this rig in process up from mcrawlinslow here in the great RCC classifieds.
The rig is off to a great start and I look forward to finishing it my way. I always kinda liked the Hilux truggy rigs and I figured this was a good start to one.

Specs as received from mcrawlinslow:

SCX chassis
Stock SCX axles
Stock SCX trans
Hand bros CMS mounts
Hilux cab
Custom built truggy cage by mcrawlinslow

Pics as received from mcrawlinslow:

I ordered a set of TSS Stockerz for it the same day I bought the rig, I absolutely love them so far. I mounted them up with a set of R35 Treps from a JK kit.

The "shocks" on it are just internally sprung with no oil. I plan on putting some better shocks on it to dial out the sag and perform better as well. Plus it has no motor or electronics to weigh down the front yet, just like an engineless 1:1 the front end will sit high.

For a guy that doesn't like scalers, you have a lot of them.
Got a full frontal shot of the truck?

I like all RC's.

For a guy that makes fun of scalers more than I do, I saw your new honcho thread.

More pics tomorrow.

Make fun yes, but I know how to have fun with them. I mean, who drives around with an open cooler in the bed of their truck with glass bottles no less... That's fail, not scale.

They're action figures!

I like the rear stinger and cage work, looks a little more 'sporty' than other truggy's. Good stuff

Yeah something about the simplicity of the cages lines and that rear stinger sold me on it.

Swapping out the stock drive train for the built axles and trans from my Venomous build. Since that build is on hold waiting on a few things I figure I can build new ones for it later and get this rig driving sooner.

Did some work to the truck this weekend, all the Venomous drivetrain and electronic parts are in it and its a runner. Still a lot of detail work to go, emblems, lights, interior etc. I had an aluminum tool box laying around, I think its from Rcbro, anyways it fits perfect and goes with the look I think. There is also a Proline fuel cell, RC4WD front bumper and winch, and I plan to mount a spare tar.

Few exterior pics:
