| Servo Horn Issue
I recently completed a scx10 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon kit, I have run it a few times already. But I noticed tonight that the front not compress the shocks completely because the screw on the servo horn is hitting the frame. I am worried that this may become a issue with any hard hits. Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone have any thoughts on how to fix it? Thanks

You could take a file and clearance the crossmember, or shim the links to roll the axle back just enough. You could also get a servo arm that has pinch bolts rather than a screw to hold it on.

Many people have had that issue including myself, I used a dremel sanding bit and took a bit out of the crossmember.

I had to do the same. Not to much just enough for it to slide by smoothly.

I had interference with the servo horn contacting the forward cross member after I rotated (clocked) the front axle to improve it's pinion angle. easy fix would be to notch the cross member where the servo horn makes contact. Instead... I moved the servo slightly rearward. This was done by removing (shaving) some material off the forward surface of each plastic servo mount. * shorter screws were needed for the lower mount holes so they would not hit the vertical screws that hold the plastic mount(s) on the servo's tray (plate). |

Following building instructions from Axial gives an unhealthy angle for the driveshafts. I ad shims to the top links to clock the axles a bit. It also helps gain clearance between the crossmember behind servo, so that servo clamps clears this and not binding up suspension. But this also leads to servo arm hitting the crossmember in front of the servo. So I simply removed that front crossmember on both my rigs. Seems to work fine without it.

Thanks for all the advice everyone, I am glad to see that it is not just my truck that has the problem. It seems Axial needs to work on the servo mounting design some. Looks like I will be modifying the cross member. Thanks again
