SCX10 underdrive gear making clicking noise....

So I bought the axial overdrive and underdrive gears. So the front 36/14 gear works perfectly fine. But the back 43/13 gear makes this clicking noise when slowly going foward and backward. Took it apart and put it back together again and still the clicking noise. I stuck the stock gears back in and there was no problem at all. Cleaned and greased, gasket is in between the locker and gear. I just don't know what else to do. I'm beginning to think my 43/13 gears are defected. So i was wondering if anyone had any other ideas as to whats making the noise before I go and buy a new set.

I am having the same problem with my stock gears, just started my build and cant get past building the axles.
Everything is nice and smoothe until I put the case together, both axles.
Read 100 posts, watched 100 videos, I am doing the exact same thing but I cant get rid of this clunking

Both of you, run it a bit. I bet it goes away after a pack or two run through the car. Mine did that and after i ran it some stopped.

if axle halves are tightened different from side to side it caused some binding on one of my builds
