Well I decided that after a couple months of beating the piss out of my rubicon that it was time to make something to beat up. I want to stick with the jeep, so I picked up the proline Cherokee body. Going to be running Hot Bodies Rovers (2.2s) so my plan is to chop the fenders really high. I want it to look like a redneck from Moab built this thing on a budget. The color scheme is what I'm really excited about. Painting the inside satin gray and the outside flat white. That way as I beat it up it will appear to be scratched and the "metal" will show through. Full interior is also part of the plan. I don't need too many chassis upgrades as my chassis is already badass, but nonetheless I have aluminum shock towers, rear axle lockers, and diff covers coming in the mail. Stay tuned as this build is just in the brainstorming stage with parts in the mail. Ideas/suggestions are welcome!!!

Got started on the interior today even though I don't have the body yet.
Front seats used the 3six template. (In the wraith forum).

Rear bench scratch made.
Rough mock up with center console and floor. The main structure is cellfoam wrapped in duct tape. More to come!

Front seats done

Back bench done

Dash cluster, steering wheel, shift knobs and boot, and glovebox done. Almost finished! Now I need the dang body to get here already!

If you want to know how I made any of the stuff just shoot me a pm.

Got tires in. Yeah I'd say they're wide enough.
Hot bodies rover 2.2s.

Also got the roof rack and some stuff in it.

Finally came! Getting it all trimmed up now. Stay tuned!

It lives!! Almost done trimming.

Roof rack on and trimming done. Almost ready for paint!

I like the idea of silver inside and white out. I'm looking forward to pics how the scrapes and bruises turn out. Maybe a dark brown would give it that rusty scrape look. Cool idea.

Body painted! Painted silver from inside, flat white with no clear coat outside. So as I beat it up the "metal" will show! Got the rack mounted and decals all put on too. Just have to fit and bolt the aluminum rocker panels.

Took it out on it's maiden voyage! A little body rub, but with 2.2s and not sacrificing COG and jacking it up I'm happy. Got a few scratches!!

Getting some scratches!

Hey man, I like what you did with the fenders. The only criticism is that I can hardly see the awesomeness because the last few pics are dark. But I like the look of the cut off/riveted on fender style. Looks badass man, wheels and all! Bumpers look good too.

Keep beating on it! (the jeep lol)

awesome build right there maybe a weird question but why did you mount the lights on the back of the roof rack?

I wanted the rack to be as close to the windshield as I could get it. Each lamp has a screw that runs through the bottom and that's what holds it on. I didn't want to be able to 1. see the screws, 2. have to mount it on a semi-rounded surface. And it something different.

Thanks man! I'm really happy with how it turns out and even happier with how badass every new scratch looks with that silver paint underneath.

Gettin some action on the big rocks today! Videos coming soon....

Well, here's the video. The quality is pretty bad because the editing software I have wants me to pay $10 to publish HD. "flipoff"

New stuff! Got a nitro gear sticker, and made hand rails for the rear body armor.
