Default RC4WD King Shocks Size

Searched and couldn't find a straight answer.

What do you guys recommend for a stock honcho? 90mm/100mm? 90mm is in stock, but 100mm is out of stock..

Any feedback is appreciated.

90mm. Will keep the stock ride height. Going to 100mm will increase travel, but at the added cost of an increased ride height and with that higher COG. You will be more prone to rollovers. You can get a lift kit such as the Delrin one Gearhead makes and use it as a lowering kit to retain stock height and run longer shocks. You would be able to keep stock ride height with the 100mm's using the lift kit, but the added benefit of more flex isn't always worth it. More flex = more body roll in off camber situations = rollover. Keep the links as close to parallel with the ground as possible and have just enough flex to fit one tire stood up underneath your flexed tire and you should be good to go!

Thanks for the response.
I was thinking 90mm too, better then risking getting the 100mm and not liking it and to just play it safe with the 90mm

just because the shocks are longer, doesn't mean that it will automatically set up higher. I ran the losi 4" shock's on my old scx10 and left the adjustments all the way soft. it didn't set any higher than the stock shocks but it gave it more travel while crawling because the tire could drop down farther.

Yeah you can run a droop setup, but in my experience so far a standard sprung suspension performs better. I am running one rig right now on a droop setup with some Gmade Transition shocks and it wants to roll over easier than my sprung setup due to the tire not being able to move upward as far into the wheel well. Yes one side can drop down further, but you lose that travel going back up.
