Default Winch question

Hey,
So i just ordered a 3racing winch for my honcho. I am saving up for another radio so i can make it work.

My question is,
if i install the winch but its not powered for a couple weeks, will the line unroll by itself? or will the line stay rolled up in the winch?

It will stay rolled up unless you snag the hook on something. Even then you could just connect it to a battery and spool it back in.

Oh so it spools back in automatically when connected to the battery?

Depending on the polarity hook up. One way spools out and the other spools in. Before you put it in check it out. Your going to need to know anyway.

ok so first hook it up to the battery by itself and it should spool up by itself. Then check which way it spools so that it indeed does spool in and not out. Then install

Common sense... Please use common sense before you post up silly questions like this...

If you never use it, then the winch doesn't have the ability to move or spool out.
