Default need some wheel hex help guys

picked up some Dick Cepek beadlocks for my honcho , the problem im having is I cant get the center cap on as the axels are too long.. im looking for a wider hex.. the stock honcho ones are about 5mm thick.. does anyone make a 8mm thick aluminum hex?? any help is appreciated.. links?? part numbers?

Yeah...you can find the wheel hexes on ebay. I had the same problem with my wheels too.

I just used some plastic ones from taraxacum when I did my vp chubs and knuckles. I wanted to try the plastic ones before I bought the aluminum ones, but haven't found a reason to replace them yet. I believe they're around 8-10mm. I didn't measure. They work great and were cheap.

all I can seem to find is having to buy 2 sets of traxxas ones either the 3654 plastic or 6869 aluminum

why not just shorten the axles a bit...I presume you are talking about the threaded portion sticking out too far. I had the same issue with my axial universals that did this and I just ground down the ends a bit and it is fine now. I still have plenty of threads for the nut to hold on to...

just figured if something comes up down the road, ide rather have the thread.. and a little wider stance wouldn't hurt anything either
