| Finally pulled the trigger
My LHS finally had one on the shelf so I couldn't resist. Went in for scale accessories and walked out a SCX10 Recon G6 owner!! This is a mad bash to get ready for a fun run Sunday morning so it's all stock for now but I am very excited to start modding it as needed. That's as far as I got for the first evening of building. Hoping to have the chassis complete by tonight. Sent from my iPhone |

Congratulations on your new G6, if you haven't yet I would suggest checking out Joe Ferguson's G6 build videos on YouTube. Here is a link to the playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...KBMo1FMjDVTHH0 |

Finished the build and had a little shake down run tonight. I'm anxious to see it on the trails tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone |

Looking snazzy. By the way is that Tamiya gunmetal by chance? If so what did you back it with? Oh and love the fire fighting minion. |

Yep, tamiya gun metal. No backer, I liked the look right out of the can and was able to get the paint layered enough not to need one. The minion is pretty rad, it's my girlfriends truck and she picked out the driver. Sent from my iPhone | |

Sunday funday proved to be a great morning of crawling and trail running. The G6 did amazing. My "junkyard" build held up well considering it has an old Hitec servo and traxxas esc with no drag brake. New esc on its way soon. Here are some pictures. Sent from my iPhone |

| I dubbed it, Project Thrash and Bash. Last second purchase, last second buildfest, and run it with crap out of my junk bin. Aside from a c hub stripping out on the trail which I managed to temp fix with some silicon that I cut off another rig and meted with a lighter, it did really well in completely stock form. Small update, added some bead locks and ripsaws. Haven't had a chance to get any dirt on them yet though. Sent from my iPhone |

Nice build. I really like that color. I keep going back and forth about building one of these. I put so much money into the last SCX-10 build I'm scared to pick up another one. lol.
