|  Jeep JK Kit Body Prep before Painting
Hey guys - Im almost done with my build and want to make sure I do the body right ... from what ive seen, you should fit everything together first before painting right .. any good video's out there?

I don't have any video's or pictures, but yes, the best way to make sure everything lines up correctly is to go ahead and assemble everything before hand. made the mistake on the roof section of my JK and never could get it to sit right.

Yep, mount the cage, windshield and flares before you paint. Then when you do paint, paint the body from the inside and the use the overspray film as a mask for the interior and paint that on the outside so it has a matte finish instead of high gloss.

Check out the Axial tech blog on their website. Bender did a really good write up on painting the body. Basically what Ty suggested. Really good reference. Its what I followed when doing mine. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk |
