Talking 4x4Jay's SCX10 Project

Hey guys! so I thought I would start a thread about my rig, the progress it's made as far as building, and the places we have gone to.

So first off, My rig was bought used from a fella that really didn't know much about RC. It was an RTR that only had the steering servo upgraded. Came with a tandem axle metal and wood trailer with leaf springs. (no wheels)

I paid $450 for everything
Original list of stuff received when bought.

1 SCX10 with Proline F250 Crew cab body (and stock Honcho body)
1 Tandem axle trailer
2 3600mah 6 cell NiMh packs
1 NiMh charger
1 Radio system

I have had this rig for about 2 years now.
Upgrades are as follows.
Extended front and rear aluminum upper and lower 4 link setup
Traxxas 550 21t brushed motor
26t pinion
Droop setup
2 5000mah 6 cell pack
1 5000mah 7 cell 8.4 pack (doesn't seem to work..)
1 5000mah 2S Hard pack
1 Tough Armor winch bumper with grill guard (No winch yet...)
1 Tough Armor Rear Tire Carrier
2 Proline roof racks
Upgraded waterproof bearings all around
Upgraded Stainless screws/bolts/nuts all around
Proline '93 Jeep Cherokee body
and a few scale items for the rack
sleeping bag, firewood bundles, bungee webbing for the top of the racks ( they should be here today!!)

Pictures!!

Light kit Upgrade!! (I actually ended up winning a prize pack from RCSparks.com forum for this light set up!)

I bought a set of Slash wheels and tires for the trailer (2.2's) but decided to try them out one day crawling.

Some photos of the F250 body (I use it as my camera rig now.)

ON TO THE JEEP BODY!!!!

That's all for now folks!!!

More in the next few days, after I get more parts in and installed!!

Talking Re: 4x4Jay's SCX10 Project

Took the rig out today for some photos.

Having a really good time doing this Cherokee build!

Anyone want to help me name this thing? It's starting to take shape, and im just not creative in the naming, or paint department (as you can tell.....)

I actually painted this after the '93 Cherokee I had a few years ago. That thing was a BEAST!!! and so is my SCX!! SO MUCH FUN!!!! WOO HOOO!!!!

Still waiting for my a few of my scale items to show up. I found a fairly cool looking tool box, and a couple other items.
I hope they come in tomorrow!

Waterproof grease in a rubber sealed bearing, but not waterproof bearings. Unless maybe if running ceramic bearings.
