Default anyone stretched a scx10 to a 15" or so wheelbase?

Just looking for any tips and info from people that have stretched it out 15 or so inches. I got myself my first hardbody and I cant wait to get started on it now that work is leveling back out after the huge repair bill lol. But wheel base on the body is right at 15 1/4 inches and I havent found much about stretching it that far so any help will be greatly appreciated.

Pick up some 8-32 all thread, brake line and Traxxas Revo rod ends and go crazy. You may have to get longer driveshafts and fix the shock positions.

Yea I figure the links are going to be the easiest part of it lol ... kinda wish it was shorter but o well found what I wanted .. its also about 10" wide so im not entirely sure how its gonna look with scx10 axles. Also thought about cutting the frame in the middle and stretching it out like that .. but if I went that route id need a second set of frame rails so idk just have to mess with it when I have time

Another option is the GCM racing 4-Ten chassis. They have a extra long version that is about 21 inches long.

Its not something popular with the masses but its what I wanted and there is very few options out there like it lol ... its not fully assembled I had just got done throwing a few quick coats of paint on it .. still needs more but I ran out amd wanted to see what it looked like semi together so I wedged some wheels under it and proped it up lol ... like I said nothing many people would want or care about but after you see the pix youll understand why I wanted it :-)

I personally like it. Im currently waiting on my body it's the licensed 1/10 fx4 it's 21" long and 8" wide going on the scx10 frame. Already picked up my brake line and rod waiting on links and body.

Mine is sitting at 14" long, I only extended the rear, 101mm links up front. I bought a multipak of traxxas driveshafts and glued them together. Ended up with three female ends and two male sides in them. Works great and looks good to.

Stretched my Wraith's wheelbase to 15.5"

I needed use two of the longer female splined tubes and a single, longer, floating spline insert,
for each drive shaft build (Ft/Rr)
Just need to swap the universal's to the new/longer shaft tubes, done.

I'd think the SCX-10 drive shaft lengths requirements wouldn't be much different
and that the HD WB8 "Deadbolt" design could work and be stronger then was the original.

I'll likely fit my SCX-10 with the same WB8 HD drive shafts
the Fem. tubes come in 3 different lengths along with 3 floating spline lengths,
so the over-all DS length is customizable

Only bad... will need purchase two Axial drive shaft kits
as one will not be enough to build two longer DS's.

Axial Racing - WB8-HD Driveshaft

!! don't forget to phase the shafts correctly during assembly (index marks/Univ. pin).
the longer DS length will exacerbate things if the phasing is out of sync.

my experience at Axial drive shaft extension... ( pics of muh SCX-10 too )

My scx based scaler is 15 7/8". 8/32 all thread revo/jato rod ends and stainless tubing to slide over the rocks. Traxxas driveshaft and a carrier bearing for the rear using a Traxxas knuckle. Front is a standard 101MM links and driveshaft.

You can make links a mile long with allthread, but you still need some way to mount the shocks without stretching them to a useless angle. Longer than 13" or so and you're going to need to make more chassis somehow.

My wroncho's wheel base is close to that, i then used some delrin sheet and made a cross member about 3-4 inches wide so i could adjust the shocks back another 2 inches. It has worked out great.
