| Finally getting around to my SCX10 JK.
So, I had gotten my SCX10 kit late last year and put it together. But as it sat over the winter, I had planned to change things around. That didn't happen, as I had a change of heart. So I put it back together with a little bit of TLC, and have been very happy with it so far. I finally managed to motivate myself enough to take some pictures of it. ...This is the old body that I painted with the wrong kind of paint, so it is flaking and chipping off all over the place. My new body will be a Green color and I will probably paint the trailer a matte black color. I know it isn't "scale", but I like the look of the 2.2 Flatirons on it, though sadly with the way they rub the fenders, they take away more flex than I really hoped they would. Or at least, they push the body too much to the side when they rub. But I don't want to get rid of my fenders as they really make me think Jeep when I look at it. Lol. List of Parts/Upgrades: Tekin FX-R and 35T HD Motor. G-Made 93mm Piggyback Shocks(Soon to be 100mm King Off-Road Shocks). 2.2 Flatiron Wheels with 2.2 Pro-line Titus Beadlock wheels. RC4WD Bulldog winch. Integy Type III Axle Housings. STRC Aluminum C-Hubs and High Clearance Steering Knuckles. Hi-Tec 7955 Servo, waterproofed. Homemade Electronics Box Plate, as well as dual battery plates. Planned Upgrades/Side-Grades: Freshly Painted Body in Dark Green. 100mm King Shocks. Front/Rear Bumper LED's, light buckets, Roof-mounted Lightbar, all on 9v LED Power. Maybe a slight Lift kit for a tiny bit more clearance for my tires. |

Heh. Thanks. I would consider just painting a rust color beneath it and leaving it like that, but the rest will eventually chip away as well.

if you take the flares off, and re-drill the holes higher you can keep the stock look. I did this aswell, and most people don't notice. it will let you gian about 3/8" of more wheel well clearance.

I like the look of wider tires and have been looking into a set for my rig as the stock tires suck. Sounds like the Pit bulls are the way to go and they also perform awesome. You rig looks good though and will be interested in seeing what you decide. With trimming the the 3/8 and the 100mm, would that be enough? |

100mm shocks is a great choice! I had 110mm but they were way to long. Sold them and bought the 100mm and they are perfect.
