| SCX10 JK question
I'm in need of someone's help that has an assembled SCX10 JK. I don't have my Jeep completed yet - working on installing my electronics. So I'm looking at different options to enclose my esc, rx, and BEC all together. Can someone please tell me the distance from the top of the frame, to the underside of the body, at the rear of the Jeep? Right around the area of the rear shock hoops - where the stock battery location is. I wanting to know how tall of an enclosure I can use back there. If someone could please take a quick measurement for me, I would really appreciate it!!! Thanks for your help! Sent from my modded TI-83 plus. |

I don't have exact measurements handy, but a Radio Shack 4x2x1 project enclosure will fit perfectly between the shock towers and just clear the Rubicon body. I have a piece of .060 ABS screwed directly to the cross braces - it's just about flush with the top of the frame rails and functions as a mounting plate. The enclosure is attached to it with Velcro extreme (the symmetrical variety, not hook and loop). Last edited by GTI_SCX; 05-14-2014 at 09:58 AM. |

Ok, that's kind of what I was wondering. I have some thin carbon fiber that I was going to make a mounting plate. So, if the 4x2x1 will fit, then the 5x2x1 should fit? What about spacing on the project box, front and rear? Is there a particular area that it fits? Thanks for your help! Sent from my modded TI-83 plus. |
