Default My G6 Wrangler Twins, But Different

I got a couple PMs asking if I had a build thread for the G6s I posted pictures of. The quick answer was no I don’t since I didn’t build either of them. I am just their new owners. So I put together a build list of the both of the rigs. You will see that both trucks are loaded with Vanquish Products but are set up differently. The orange G6 runs on Curries while the white G6 runs on XR-10 modded AX-10 axles. Also the orange truck started life as a rtr and the white truck started life as a purpose built rig from parts bought individually. I will be using this thread to post the evolution of the rigs as well as pics and videos of the two trucks from time to time. So on to their descriptions and some pics.

Here is a split video of the white G6 at Murrell Park at Grapevine Lake shot a few weeks ago.

Since the trucks are pretty much done for running gear, it is on to the scale gear. I have added DS Pro siege ladders, RC4WD ARB snatch block, a hi-lift jack and tow rope attached with scale bungee cords to the white G6.

The orange G6 will be receiving a new front bumper and sliders from BGR Fabrication pretty soon I hope.

Man both rigs look great. Loving the white one. Told a few buddies my plans before this thread came out and you had the same idea with the white body and red method wheels. Looks sick!

Thanks, but I can not take credit for the paint and wheel combo. The previous owner did all the hard work.

Good to know that there are a couple good looking, and running, rigs in the DFW area.

Were the pictures also taken at Grapevine Lake?

I would prefer listen to the natural sound of the RC's
rather then your music selections.

I played your video's silent for a bit... but grew bored

good looking rigs tho'

Yes, they are from the site of the G6 fun run. The videos were shot basically running the course as it was set up.

Very nice! 2 questions though:
hows the chassis mounted servo treating you?
And how are those Currie axles?

Both methods of the servo mountings are working well. Both are solid and both servo are run on BECs so power is not an issue.

The Currie axles are really nice and smooth. I am torn as to which axle setup I like more between the XR modded or the Currie axle setup.
