| Another release from Axial, that makes 8!!!
Axial is up to it again...with another SCX-10 release. This time a RTR G6 model. I guess they didn't have one of them. Now they have 8 different current SCX-10 models. Axial Racing - SCX10 But before this thread starts another rant about Axial. They have one of the best scale crawlers out there in the SCX-10 and it's been proven for years, so why not make more models? It's to widen the appeal of all those who don't have one or want another one but different. So I'm not going to bash them for making great product. I'm thinking they might discontinue one or two of the older models (Dingo/Honcho)? I'd actually like to see them bring the Honcho back as a kit. Was thinking of building a honcho and would prefer a kit form. |

If it ain't broke don't fix it. While it does seem like they're just slapping a new body on the chassis, they did make improvements to the driveshafts, drive train (32P), servo, and ESC....not to mention the new tires which are very nice at 4.7" I'd like to see some new 1.9 beadlocks from Axial and I'd like to see them on the RTR's and kits. Nobody should be gluing tires on an SCX10! Aluminum 4 link in rear and aluminum steering links at minimum. The plastic links are garbage when you consider the type of terrain this vehicle is designed to tackle. Even if they went with Delrin there would probably be less flex in them. |

disappointed again I wished that the mentality of throwing a different body on the same chassis is not what designates a new release. Axial needs to offer a different suspension version of the scx-10 chassis 1. the original scx-10 kit utilizing the linked suspension 2. and a leaf sprung scx-10 kit as well. I think this option would be more worthy then simply slapping another body on the same chassis. |
