| Scx10 glitching...
Hey there. I have a problem I just can't figure out... My honcho glitches real bad when under strain. It's never done this before and ran perfectly fine when I used it last. Here is a link to the video of it. Scx10 glitching - YouTube |

Does everything glitch when under load? Or just the motor? Looks like a motor that needs cleaning in the video but if everything seems to be going crazy, you could have a BEC issue, as I am unfamiliar with the BRXL I hope someone who isn't will comment and possibly clear that from the list of things that could be wrong. Watched again, do you have a spare receiver? If so try it, Just a thought could have gotten wet or something. Just a thought! Last edited by Dad,Canyoufix?; 06-04-2014 at 07:46 AM. |

I have another rc I can rip the reciever out of and try. I'll have to try that tonight. And nothing else is glitchy . Steering is still smooth, lights don't flicker any more than they usually do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Had mine do the same thing the other night, the comm in the motor looked dirty so I ran it at full speed in a cup of water for a bit until the comm looked a little better. Seems fine now, running on ax2 esc with tamiya 27t motor. |

I tried cleaning the motor... Lots of dirt and sand came out but still no luck... Still doing the same thing. It's the only motor I have right now so can't test another one. I'll have to get another motor... Probably should get a back up anyways. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Definitely get another motor. I hate to say it, look for another esc as well. I have heard nothing but good things about HH products, even plan on purchasing them in the future, but nothing is fail proof. If the new motor acts up as well, its probably the esc. I would still try the other receiver just for SHIGGLES but, I doubt you'll have much luck. Another thought, external BEC's are worth the money for the extra protection. Good Luck!

If you really think its in the motor, which with everything else working correctly that isn't a bad assumption, I would take the stator assembly out and check the commutator and check to make sure the brush springs are good. Polishing a commutator could help out a lot, also check the winding around the stator. If it looks like the coating could be burnt or missing, that could be a sign your motor needs re-winding. I would buy another motor and either look into re-winding it yourself or take it to a hobby shop with some experienced guys that could help. HH also sells pre-wound stators with your preference of turn. Wouldn't be a bad investment. Let us know what happens!

Hey . So I figured it out what was causing all the problems. The esc is toast apparently . Holmes hobbies brxl factory waterproofed . Only ran one 4000mah battery through it so not that impressed. Just thought I would update everyone that was helping me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I was kinda thinking that, you may be able to talk to them if you didn't run it through water, although I might remember reading the waterproofed version had a shorter warranty. Either way, plastidip does work, well. My scx10's nick name should be the uboat. I can run that thing completely submerged and drive it back out again and again. Sorry to hear about the esc failure! Glad you know what to replace now though!
