I am also a part of 801rcc on Facebook here in Utah, and have been ever since I ran into some members in lil Moab near the beginning of this year. They told me about this thread, and I have since mentioned it to many other people wanting to get into the hobby. Your thread is a perfect testament to the fact that you don't have to spend a fortune to enjoy this hobby! I am really impressed with how many miles you have logged on Dudley, and how little you have had to spend on repairs. You have actually inspired me to do a similar experiment! I bought a Vaterra Ascender, and plan to leave it bone stock, log my runs (though probably not as thoroughly :P) and keep track of breakages etc. Everyone has great things to say about the ascender, but I haven't found much info in the way of long term feedback. It's funny...I dumped way too much money into my SCX10, and in the end I almost feel like I made it worse :P (or at the very least, just less dependable...) I have since been fairly burned out with the SCX10 and have been running my wraith/yeti instead. I am excited to start fresh with a new 1.9 platform, and report my experience's with the RC community here on the forum. Thank you for making this thread, it has been very useful to many people! |

This thread has to be one of the best threads ever! I purchased a SCX 10 Deadbolt 2 weeks ago,and have be having a blast driving it. The lower links are the only thing I can see replacing, and maybe the metal gears in the transmission.

Another great outing with good friends and a great group. This time out Dudley hit the Logandale Trails (near Valley of Fire state park in Nevada) for the "Straight Outta Luck" Recon G6. This area is by far one of the coolest places I've ever had the privilege of driving my RC's. The terrain is loaded with thousands of crawling lines from mild to wild. I'd love to head back and just do some general exploring. The G6 course was 1.2 miles of very hard and technical terrain. Dudley ran through the event without any issues to report. On to the pics. |

A few weeks ago the wife and I were on our way back home to Salt lake from a weekend in Mesquite Nv. We decided to do take the scenic hwy 12 through Southern Ut. Mostly just seeing the sites form the hwy but one of the places we did stop was Bryce Canyon and I just so happen to have Dudley with me. We arrived in the late afternoon and the early fadding day light ment we didn't have much time to really take in the beauty of this amazing place. So after a quick visit to the Visitor center we opted to walk the rim trail that skirts the edge to the canyon. This short 1 mile hike is host to some amazing overlooks at every turn. Dudley and I will be returning to actually hike down into the canyon in the near future. Dudley ran the easy 1 mile trail without any issues. On to the pics |

A few weeks ago the Wife and I, along with a couple friends, headed down to St George in southern Utah to fight off some of the winter depression by spending a day crawling at the infamous Pioneer Park with some of the locals. The weather was perfect to say the least. We spent the day playing with a good variety of RC's. The list included: the Yeti XL, Yeti, RR10 Bomber, and of course Dudley. My new RR10 Bomber saw action most of the day, but I did make sure that Dudley got in a good run with some of his trail pals. Dudley and friends covered .8 miles during their run without any issues to report. a few pics from Dudleys run. |

Dudley getting back to it (now that it has warmed up a bit. This time Dudley headed to the off road meca that is Moab!! Originally Dudley, joined by a couple friends were planning to hit Arches NP but decided to change plans after talking to a couple of Park Rangers. So we opted for the Fisher Towers hike, and it did not disappoint. The hike was spectacular to say the least. Not only in it's beauty but it was perfect terrain for a 1.9 scale rig. The trip was a total of 6.1 miles witch is a bit longer than the trail head sign had posted but we did play on some side trails while enjoying the awesomeness that is Moab. Dudley ran the 6.1 miles without any issues to report. On to the pics. |

| Re: Dudley Deadbolt's Adventure Thread by T-money It really varies depending on the terrain. The steeper and rougher the terrain the shorter the run time. It seams that on the way up the trail I can usually get about 1.5 to 2 miles or 2+ hours out of a battery. That being said I have done 3 miles on a pack before.
