| SCX10 battery relocation I'm building my unlimited Rubi kit and I placed the battery up front according to the instruction on Axial's website. Now, what am I supposed to do with the electronics box? The only way I really saw on how to mount it was to have it facing forward between the frame rails and there's only holes to mount two screws, which leaves the front just hanging there. Not to mention, it sit right in the way of being able to adjust the slipper clutch. I figure I'm doing it wrong. Any sites or pics out there that show a better way to do this? I'm doing some googling now, but haven't run in to anything just yet. |

I have a wrangler as well... I found that front battery placement made the truck climb like a goat..but flip over easily while turning, decending, etc. . I have a 300g battery pack (turnigy 2s 5300mah) weight distribution was approx 60f/40r Battery location in the back was little bit better for not tiping over, but took away from the climbing alittle bit.... WD was closer to 50/50 Right now I have the battery mounted across the chassis in front of the rear wheels. I weight distribution is similar to the back battery location, except the 300g from the battery is now lower in the chassis, so it climbs better and doesn't want to tip over so easy.. I bought a piece of aluminum from HD and made a battery tray with sides.. I used the velcro from the stock tray. I dont know why axial didnt put sides on the stock battery tray...if they did I wouldn't have need to make a new tray. Last edited by Maraxusofkeld; 06-09-2014 at 02:03 PM. |
