Default What can you tell me about this scx10

I'm looking at buying this from a friend and was wondering what you guys could tell me about it. The mud is from me playing with it. And how much do you all think it's worth. Only comes with this jeep body. He said it was a dingo kit I think

Looks pretty much like a stock kit with stock motor and esc...body not stock but nothing special either...no cover for spur gear...i wouldnt spend more than 300.00 for it providing it comes rtr with a radio and rx....if no radio or rx....250 max...my opinion...

Looks like a Rubicon RTR, judging by the wheels, tires and bumpers.
The shock and drive shafts look aftermarket.
At 300 a brand new, complete Deadbolt SCX10 looks a lot more interesting to me. I'd bid 200, 20 more if there is a TX.

Its an older dingo/honcho kit. No gear cover, grey alum upper links. Leaning more towards dingo because the front axle sits too far back for the body wheelbase

And not more than $200

I'm going with a RTR Honcho/Dingo with a few aluminum upgrades, like the upper/lower links and the steering links. It looks used kind of hard, judging from the rock rash on the front axle, tie rod and bumper.

I'd say $150 to $200 max.

So all the metal upgrades don't seem worth it? He is asking $300.

I spy MIP driveshafts, everything is pretty much stock, and used. Unless there is a great ESC and tx/Rx I wouldn't go over $250 myself.

Like some above have said..... it's a little rough only a few upgrades like the MIPs and links. Stock AE-2 ESC , futaba S3305 Servo will need replacing (only 124 oz @6.0 volts) so no more than 250. Good luck.

Given it's used, could have rusty diff gears and axles, Mip's are a nice touch but for that set up, your looking at $100 extra in a lipo and servo. Possibly another 20-40 for a body. 250 max as you might be replacing some things other than what's mentioned above as well. (Axle housing looks beat)

My $0.02

Looking at the pics again, I noticed that it has the wrong springs on the shocks, they don't even fit the seats.

I'm surprised none of you guys mentioned the gearhead shock relocation kit. I'd say in the $250.00 range also.

Axle housings looks beat. The housings are pre sanded down for ya ....... Better ground clearance . Mip driveshafts are worth 65.00 . It's an older rtr with the better speed control. It would take a complete disassemble and lube ,maybe new bearings? Bearings could be 40 or 50$. Driveshafts could be saved with taking them out of the truck and cleaning them with wb40. It could have hardened Robinson racing transmission gears. 45.00 I think. If you coul get it for cheaper that would be a good deal. New rtr deadbolt I at 300.00 plus tax. Either way your getting into the hobby of scale scx10 trucks. If you buy new you'll want to buy metal links,w steering.

Get yourself an rtr from tower hobbies for a little over 300 after the discount and break it up into payments. I think you'll be a lot happier in the long run.

You know real trucks loose a lot of value after driving off the lot. This truck has seen off roading and you don't the condition of trans gears and axles gears. After market parts don't always raise the price much especially when used. RTR $200.00 I feel is the max I'd pay. How much $'s do you have left to put into if the internal parts are shot? You have to ask yourself this. Good luck! Glad to see you get into the Hobby with us!

you mean those cheap lift/lower brackets used in an odd fashion. the gearhead relocation kit would have the rear upper mounts inboard of the frame rails
