Default My New CR Edition w/ Goodies

Well I finally got myself a new rig. After about a year and a half away from the scene I'm back. Was able to save and talk wifey into letting me get one. Already started the modding on her before she was ever even turned on.
1st thing was cut off the ESC plug and solder on deans plug
2nd was upgraded aluminum knuckles c-hubs and rear lockouts.
3rd Vanquish Universals in front
4th Vanquish steering and drag Link
5th Savox 1268 servo
6th Gear Head rear shock relocation kit
7th Vanquish XD 2.2 RockStars
8th Vanquish .475 hub spacers
9th Proline TSL Super Swampers 1.9's
10th Relocated ESC and battery relocated up front.

Good little start to a rig that is brand new. Just waiting on all my front and rear aluminum links to stiffen up the suspension. GMade 93mm Piggy Back shocks for front and GMade 93mm Aeration shocks for the rear. Mamba Max Pro ESC and a censored low KV motor on 3s. Castle bec, and a new Flysky GT3C radio. Should keep me going for a little bit.

Looks real good!! I really wanted the CR SCX10, but my wife wouldn't let me spend that much plus upgrades, so I got the Deadbolt instead. I can't complain.

Would like to try these rockstar on mine... How is the stance ? Easy to mount on 1.9 tires ?

I was going to get the Deadbolt but wanted to build a 4 door Wrangler so figured after I spend money on a body and extra stuff I could just by a Rubicon version and start off that way. So there she is, a good start to a costly money pit.
By the way my local hobby shop has the Deadbolt in stock this weekend for 279. Wish I had a spare 300 laying around , lol.

The stance on the wrangler seems a little better now with a somewhat wider wheel and tire combo. The 2.2 RockStars are very easy to work with. The Proline TSL Super Swampers in 1.9" seemed to mount like they were meant for the wheel. I used the .475 hub spacers from Vanquish for the wheels. Pushed them out very little but definitely added to the look and more importantly the performance. From center tread to center tread is exactly 8 inches.
I'm getting 5 inches of articulation with solid contact on all 3 other tires.

Boy, it'd sure be nice to be you... Tricked out scx10, marble countertops, dewalt power tools... Hey wait a minute, is that a short course body back there? Uh oh!...
Just kidding! Your rig looks great. I'm just gonna live vicariously through other people now. ;)

Yeah, I know...... But right now I have 2 rigs, my New SCX10 and my son's 4x4 Stampede. The body in the back ground is for a SC Truck which I don't currently have. I bought it because I am trying to make a replica of my 1:1.
Those of the guys on here that know me can tell you I've gone way over board on RC rigs before. At 1 point I had 3 SCX10s, Slash 4x4 Ultimate, AE Drift Subaru, Losi Muggy, Ofna X1-CRT converted to 8th scale brushless, some off brand 8th scale Brushless Buggy, Axial Wraith and an Axial EXO Terra. Mind you none of them were stock. Had the full size RC4WD Trailer (to pull my Subaru), The Wraith was all Vanquished out from ground up and had a Mamba Max Pro ESC and motor, one SCX10 had everything Vanquish and also had a Mamba Max Pro Censored motor setup. I've spent some money on these little bastards...... just look at some of my old threads.
I'm going to try and keep it calm and focus on just one rig for now but already want a Wraith as well...... Damn it.

You ROCK, man! No really, that's great. My sons love their rc and will grab my remote right out of my hands. They're still a little young but I can't wait till they can really wrench with me. Happy Father's Day!

My son loves my new Jeep and now wants one. So I'm going to do an SCX10 Rubicon on his Stampede 4x4 so he can still bash and go fast. I should be able to make it work, wheel base is pretty close. I tried my lid on his rig and seemed to work so I will see....
Thanks for the post.

Very nice rig you have there, I like how you have the shocks mounted, that would give some crazy articulation. What a sweet looking build, keep up the good work.

After looking at your wheels with 1.9 swamper's I tried to mount them on my vanquish KMC XD. I was able to slide the wheels and ring just fine but I had no luck closing the rear ring.

The tires are to small and the rubber is on the way any tips as I assume they should mount exactly the same. Unless the rockstar mount different.

Btw killer truck you have! And R/C too :-)

So yes my TSLs are the XL ones. And the trick to mounting the rear bead inside the beadlock is using the longer screws Vanquish supplies with the wheels. Get one or two started then tighten it down. You should then be able to starting getting more of the screws set. You can finally just remove the long ones replacing them with the short finishing screws. Good luck.
