Default Servo horn hitting crossmember

So I just put a Hitec servo and Robitronic clamping servo horn on my Wroncho. I have my front axle tipped forward some to reduce driveshaft angle and my servo horn is hitting the crossmember that holds the front of the battery tray. I clearanced it before when I had the stock servo In it but now I would have to grind most of it away for It to clear. Has anyone made a new crossmember or battery tray mount for this reason? Any info or pics would be great. Thanks.

I removed mine...
then used a shorter link rod/tube as a cross member.
My servo clears...
but the tube could also be moved forward to the next hole
on the frame... so as to keep the frame boxed.
wuz either 66mm or 68mm, I ferget.

I also shaved a little material off the servo mounts facia
and this allowed the servo to shift slightly rearward.

Half of my forward battery plate is still there...
and unsupported by the removed front cross member.
^ is where I mount my ESC

I no longer utilize that for battery placement.
and instead mount my batteries in tandem on the sliders.

alternatively... and if using a single battery...
I'd mount that crosswise to the frame rails...
just forward of the transmission.

I have my electronics mounted in boxes on my sliders and no room to mount the battery lower on the frame. It needs to stay in the stock front location. I might have to fab up a new front battery mount of some kind.

Why's that ?
tons of other folk have

even used the original battery plate mounted
cross width just above the frame rails forward of the transmission.

The battery plate can be held in place using some "L" brackets
or even some plastic servo mounts

why is it that... it wouldn't work for you ?

I have wraith axles in mine and I used some aluminum plates on the sides of the chassis to raise the upper suspension links to clear the driveshafts. And a battery mounted there would be right on top of the links. I could make a mount for it there but it would have to sit up of the frame and it would just be easier to make the stock location work. But on the other hand a slightly lower center of gravity would be good. I'll have to check out both options. Anyone have pics of the battery mounted in front of the trans to give me ideas?

Battery relocation

Battery relocation ?

advanced search will net you 5 more pages worth pertaining.
search "battery relocation", "battery location", "battery mount", etc.
keep the search words simple.

there's even this... Jevne Racing SCX10 Battery Plate

^ if fabrication is all too time consuming...
and spending your dolla' is not a concern.
