Better have a complete bomb proof driveline before going with that set up. I have seen a few guys in the club run them, and that system is a beast.

I run the 2300 on 3s w/ a 16t pinion and 87t spur. It crawls awesome and has plenty of wheel speed. You will need to upgrade all of the drive train.

Im running 3100 roc412 in my scx 10 on 3s, 10t pinion 60t spur. After running it for awhile, there is no other option IMO. Very smooth crawling and plenty of wheel speed. The torque is just awesome.

All I have done to my drive line are MIP Shafts and a Vanquish locker up front. Haven't had any issues with it and I use the slipper to save me from grenading things.

Yep, but mostly on 2S. If I went to 3S I'd run the 2300.

I would do this, great torque and low speed control without a tiny pinion gear and still great wheelspeed.

I run the 3100 on 3s in a G6 with 9t pinion and 58t RRP spur (32p). I'm running RRP tranny gears, MIPS, VP XVDs, HD stock ratio in front, UD gearing in the rear, VP stage 1, and 2.2 Flat Irons. It's been a great setup, particularly after I switched to 32p gears (I was going through pinions too quickly on 48p). You'll probably want to get rid of the stock lockers also (mine only lasted about 6 hours of runtime, and the Hot Racing lockers have been great). The setup gives great low speed resolution and lots of punch. Enjoy!

Well I guess im ordering the 3100 then. Im hoping to be impressed with this setup. I have a 3100 HH brushless in my wraith and it is nice but the temp really bothers me. And honestly, I havent found a brushless that crawls and has wheel speed equally since I stopped using a novak ballistic crawler 13.5t. It was smooth slow or fast.

I'm using the Viper VTX8. It's an 8th scale racing ESC that I picked because it's waterproof out of the box and has really good programming options off of a credit-card sized interface that's very easy to use (and to carry in a pocket). I had a problem with the first one and they replaced it under warranty. Since then, it's been great. I also run that setup in my Wraith.
