Default Dual parallel 2s lipos on AS-E2

Hi guys,

I am planning to run dual 2s 2200MAH lipos (in parallel) on my SCX10. It has the stock AS-E2 ESC.

Would this risk the ESC, or it can handle doubling the MAH?

Thanks in advance

In parallel it will be fine....in series not so fine...but yes...parallel..i had mine set up that way for a long time.

Its the same as a single 4400 mah lipo...

ESCs can handle any capacity you desire. It's voltage you need to be concerned about. In your case you are still set up for 7.4 so you will have no issues there.

Will work fine, it's a good old school trick. I used to do it back in the day with 1500 mah nicads and the old Tamiya Clodbuster to get longer run times. (yes I am carbon dating myself...lol)

you'll be fine.

I run dual 3s LiPo's wired parallel
but I use a BEC with that higher voltage.

It's probably a good idea to charge each battery individually
using the balance method each and every charge.

* Your thread would be better placed in the Electronics Folder

Thanks a lot guys, valuable comprehensive feedback

What average run time would this setup give me?

Am running stock motor with stock gearing

Thanks

^ that's about right.

but gear it lower and you can stretch it to an hour + maybe

it would also be dependent on how many winds your stk. mtr. has.
a 27 turn/wind mtr will usually demand more energy
then say a 55 T/W mtr. would.

so gearing and mtr. selection can be tuned towards performance
or for max. battery capacity.
and it all depends on what you want.

I'm into the 3s LiPo's for their added torque
top speed (maybe 5mph 4me) is useless for a crawler. JMO

Wheel speed may be helpful in some circumstances...
but too much and any scale resemblance is lost.

So again...
tuning your rig to what your wants and needs are...
is completely up to you

Thanks a lot for the detailed advice!

I currently run 27T on the stock gearing, however, I already order 20T & 55T; just to see the difference. I somehow felt that 27T is fast, however, I do suspect that the 55T will be too slow. I will try, and maybe 35T would be the future suitable motor.

Thanks again,

I run 3s mmp an 13.5 novak for wheel speed proly to much for crawling but more the better
