First some parts I've had since a vendor launched the 3d printed parts.
Front truss with panhard with chassis mount...

All white for now but gonna try to dye tho???

Cms

A mock up for now...needs a lil tuning.

Got 3 link goin with spare parts laying around!

Changing wheelbase to 12" instead of 12.3"

All links will be made of 1/4" alum tubing with 6/32 all thread when finished mocking it all up!

That all for now...

I came up with few parts from the toolbox!
HH gen2 servo( was a spare)
HH 13t TM pro(went bl on wraith)
CC bec(spare)
Axial uni's(spare)
Vp knuckles(off ax10 since went to xr mod)
Fxr(old spare)
Futaba rec...I realize these parts may not be considered "budget" normally but since I have parts I will use them instead of buying new!!!
Any suggestions on body since it didn't come with one???

Any luck you know if it will fit the 12" wheelbase & not hang over rear too much? I have had many diff setups & have 2 1:1 xj's but don't like the Cherokee it's too long for my liking...

Looks good, I'd mount a small 3s pack right on the JCAD plate, it even has the slot for the velcro strap.

I run 2200mah 3s Turnigy packs from Hobby King, I get over 2hrs of run time easily. ( and they are pretty cheap )

Great looking budget build you have going on! I saw that you are using 6/32 all-thread for the links..just from reading about making links..6/32 is really bendable and under high loads it may bend so say if it does then 8/32 may be a better option, just something to consider Other than that it's looking really good, I'm taking your idea of cutting a plate out of aluminum and make a battery plate just like yours. Anyways, sorry to cluder up your thread haha

P.S. I'll probably get a 2,200mah 3s from turnigy as well..they appear to be good for my use.

The 6/32 is course thread & tubing has thick walls you can barely bend a 8" stick without thread in it! I have used this combo a lot with comp crawlers & 9lb wraith rigs with no issues. The battery tray is the best way to get lcg & not cost arm & leg!!! Ty for looking.

I know most (like myself) is kinda burnt out on jeep bodies so a lil change is good! Always wanted 1:1 this body style but I'm too cheap plus hard to find!

A lil update...been out of town working so now back to building!
73 bronco coming along...

Dingo flares should be a good match with this body style?

1 down 3 to go!!! Also going with another setup for the cms, vp or blue monkey? Both really close in cost so prob get both test with both & see what fits best for this rig. I aquired a g6 while out of town in local classifieds for dirt cheap!!!

Stock with home brew droop & axial comp shocks!
