I recieved my al frame rails and the skid today, very fast shipping!

The weight for the al frame rails is 3.8 ounces, very light. Once everything was bolted together the chassis feels plenty stiff, if there is any flex it is certainly not enough to notice. It could possibly come into play if you were building a 13 lbs scaler, I am not sure, but if you were going that route I am sure the end user would opt for the steel frame anyway. At that point weight is obviously not an issue...

I am happy with the TSS frame and skid setup. The increased clearance is immediately obvious and should make a CMS setup trouble free. I have already installed the SSD CMS and can say that it all went on with no drama and perfect fitment. I am building a SCX from ground up, will probably start a thread tomorrow, but I am very happy with the TSS frame as my base.

I was wondering that myself. Which body mounts work and do they end up in the same spot as the stock holes?

Finally got to really put this chassis thru the paces. The raised upper links really helped in the climbing dept. If I could keep the front end down, it would climb it. Impressed to say the least. I'm really liking the chassis. Thanks!

I put a bit of a bevel on the lower edge to aid in not getting hung up on obstacles like a sharp edge would.

I bought this chassis in the steel and love the clearences and the bumper locations, but it always bends side to side. Is there any thing to help prevent this? Thanks all
