Wink Rebuilding Former Glory SCX10 Axles...help!

Well my buddy has been running his Wraith with a powerful Tekin 3500HD motor/MMP setup on 2s with of course the necessary tranny gears, tranny case, tranny output shafts, MIP drive shafts, hardened bevel gear sets front and rear.

I am doing the same but with SCX10 axles instead and on 1.9s not 2.2s.

I also put on the new 8* chubs and knuckles with VP's titanium tie rod and drag for them. The rest of the rig is all VP titanium linkage as usual.

I don't want to throw on Curries for the simple fact that they are just too expensive to throw em around. This rig is a low slung desert buggy meant for speed and jumps not really crawling. I may unlock the front diff with an open gear set or go IFS.

But yeah so here's what I got low budget build up for durable strength:

-6 year old Axial SCX10 housings!!!! Cleaned them up looking vintage.
-New VP VVD's for SCX10 for that sick 50*!!
-Replaced ALL NEW bearings or hardware that was looking they would round out
-Reconditioned perfect shape OD front bevel gears
-Greased new stock ratio HD bevel gears for the rear axle
-Reconditoned STRC Rear lock out SS axle kit (also about 4 years old from my old shafty rig)
-Checked both HR SHD locker gears and screws all look good and reconditioned them as well
-VP 8* knuckles/c hubs installed along with new VP tie rod/drag link
-Just ordered extended BeefToobz to reinforce and add lower weight
-Cleaned my MIP drive line set and applied a dry lubricant afterwards

-Front axle has temporary plastic 4 link from the new Axial kits
-Rear is running a polished DMG 4 link...front will match as well once I get geometry done.

Grease of choice: Team Associated High Temp Black Grease for diff rings
Cleaner of choice: M Pro-7 Firearm Cleaner (safe on plastics, wood, steel, aluminum....)
Bearings: All from Team Fast Eddie as usual
Bearing lube of choice if I had to: Bones Speed Cream

SO with that being said anything else I can do to these axles besides new housings? I see no point in ordering new plastic housing if mine are just fine. IF I were to upgrade housings then I'd go all the way with Curries.

But let's see how long these babies last first!

The build thread is here: page 2 is axle related.

The Orange Crush Ultra4 EB Build!!

Thanks!!
