| Body Repair
Hey all, question for the masses. What are your preferred methods of body repair? My rig had a run in with a mountain biker on the trails last week and needless to say he won. His pedal clipped my rig and pretty much tore the shell almost in half. It may be a lost cause but it got me thinking about repair and re-use of lexan shells. Any info is much appreciated. |

| Re: Body Repair I replaced the body already and am pretty sure my old one will never see any use again. i guess this question is geared more towards minor repairs as opposed to trying to fix the unfixable. what exactly is carpet tape?

Carpet tape or Drywall tape is exactly what it name says, tape. You can get it at any hardware store and it comes in a duct tape size roll accept that it is tan or white in color. The tape itself is in a cross hatched pattern. Sorry I dont have any pictures of a roll but you can do a google search and type in "Carpet tape" or "Drywall tape" and you should get a picture. I hope this helps.

Drill a small hole at the end of the crack so the crack doesn't travel any further

| Re: Body Repair Simply using drywall tape and shoe goo makes the body stronger than it originally was. When my fast RCs break a body I always use some zip ties too. Adds some weight, but the body is still usable. |
