Default CMS steering

What's the purpose of the cms ,does it give you more steering and suspension travel ?I'm new to the crawlers ,

It doesn't perform any better than AMS (worse if not setup correctly), it's just more scale and gives your rig another cool factor item.

Some times enables more and smoother articulation( up travel), prevents servo from getting hung up on frame rails. Must be set up correctly or you will have bump steer/binding issues.

I was all about CMS for a while. I have since switched back on a bunch of my rigs. More suspension travel and more steering (most of the time).

It allows you to run 3-link with a panhard bar. Looks better.

CMS is simply a scale effect...
for those attempting to replicate 1:1
and wishing to hide the servo from line of sight.

So if seeing the servo bothers one.
The CMS will eliminate that visual.

A CMS will not function as well
as would the AMS.
But is acceptable for many.

an AMS, tho' not true to scale...
will always out perform a CMS
and requires less investment/expenditure.
