| Dig or not to dig, that is the question
Looking over the Axial blog about the fully optioned SCX10 Axial Racing - Full Option RTR SCX10 Jeep they did a dig on it. Is it worth doing or just another little bit of bling that one can put the money towards something better?

| Re: Dig or not to dig, that is the question They do this for the Wraith as well. It's just showing how the various Axial upgrade parts look on the platform. Buying it all would be a small fortune, but it gives you some ideas on where to start.

The reason I bring this up as I just tried to install the Axial Dig in my G6 Jeep and the receiver box is in the way of the servo plate from the Dig itself! I tried grinding the extra portion that hangs out but it still goes into the receiver box, making mounting the lid impossible. --- So I'd love to know how Axial thinks a dig can fit in there with a stock receiver box setup. Mines coming out and will sit in a box for a wraith or something one day. | |

Why not just remove the stock receiver box? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Certainly can do that (I also felt the same way alot of others that once it was mounted and the way it works, takes away from the scale operation), its more the point that Axial neglected to mention any of this... the SCX10 is normally aimed at the newbie/RTR crowd. The fact that a simple upgrade that has been mentioned on their site for years doesn't fit is rather poor on their part. Hobbico can be as bad as Horizon for things... (DX4C not saving switch settings randomly... lol). --- I'm still surprised no one has made a conversion kit to turn it into a proper 2wd/4wd transfer case (reverse the 4x2 operation and delete the dig) but I guess I makes more sense to just make a new one. |

Fawk dig, un-necessary, un-realistic (for most 1:1 wheelers), so ya no dig. Could also move the rx box if that is possible with the body and other electronics config, moving one thing usually entails moving at least one other thing for me. |
