| wheel widener options
Hi all im wanting to run wheel wideners because ill be running 8* knuckles and also i want more clearance at flex. Mini 12mm Wheel Widener (4) these seem good but because they're silver they will stand out too much... are there black ones or maybe i could paint them (but with what type of paint). Thanks in advance, Hammer! |

ok ive had a further look i can't find any black wideners so I'm wondering, what type of paint would i use to paint the silver aluminum wideners? (the ones mentioned in original post)

I just tonight put vanquish 8° knuckles and chubs on mine and I used Traxxas hexes part number TRA3654. They are wider then stock Axial and clear the knuckles. I got them on ebay for about $7 for 4 of them.

I wonder if you could dye them with the ryte...rit...rit dye? That stuff everyone uses to dye chassis parts.

i don't know... i know rit dye is used to dye traxxas plastic chassis' i assume thats what you're talking about... but they're plastic and this is aluminium so they are two very different things, but maybe i could use some other sort of metal dye... good idea.

They are traxxas. They're for the Slash. The part number is TRA3654.

I went the more expensive route. I bought Vanquish Method wheels and used the wider Vanquish hubs. They look amazing and allow you to tune your width as well.
