Default Scx10 honcho tires

Hey guys, got my conversion of the ax10 to scx10 done, i have 90mm gmade scalershocks on order and the honcho body aswell as junfac shafts. As of right now i am running the stock ax10 2.2 rocklizards on the scx10 bodyless. Will i be able to run them with my honcho body on when it gets here? I dont really want to trim the body as it might take away from the scale look. Any help is great thanks

Stock shock length is about 90mm and people have run 2.2 wheels on stock honchos so it should be alright. If it is too low, which it probably will be if you're going full flex, it's only a few screws to put you AX shocks in (assuming they're the stock length) and that will give you plenty of room until you order a set of 1.9s for it.

Either way, if you're looking for scale over performance, I'd go with some 1.9s ASAP as they're "the" scale size. If you want 100% scale! put some 1.55s on. I'm not sure if 1.55s clear the front C hubs though so that's something to be weary of if you want to run 1.55s.
Cheers,

IMO any 2.2 will be too large to be considered scale.

I roll 1.9's

4.0 - 4.3 OD

Most realistic/scale tire I've run
is the RC4WD Micky Thompson MTZ.
Is one of the few 1.9 tires that is still class 1 legal.

Not the best traction tire available...
but I think they work acceptably and look true to scale.

I would never cut my body to fit over sized tires...
nor would I overly pre-load the suspension to fit them.

Lose the 2.2's JM $ .02

I have a g6 that I put a honcho body with no roll cage and the front tires just barely rub. I have 1.9 mickey Thompson mtz all around and the body post all the way up.
