axial esc or motor issue

I have only had my rubicon for a few weeks so I am still learning more everyday. Well, today I was playing in a small ditch that had some water and mud in it. About an hour into my second battery pack the forward and reverse quit working. I thought it may have gotten too hot so I let it cool down while I charged my battery. It sat for a couple of hours and still the steering is the only thing working. I am running 2S lipo and the esc is blinking fast red/orange. Any ideas what has happened?

Re: axial esc or motor issue

you prolly got water in the ESC/RX/servo

remove them from the rig...
remove the pc boards from their cases
and dry them out well using air (light pressure)
Then stick the pc boards into a bag of white rice
for a day or two
and that will wick dry the e component boards.

If running power thru e components when wet...
they may already have damage.
But if dried properly... maybe you'll get lucky

Brushed motors will run submerged.
and can only become fubar if particulate jams
the comm, brushes or springs.

Re: axial esc or motor issue

It sounds like either you burnt up the esc/motor or possibly water damage like Taco Crawler mentioned. Is your throttle position centered on your remote? Maybe it moved and it can't connect to the esc.
