| Building a SCX10 with leaf springs
I want to build and SCX 10 with front and rear leaf springs. I've been doing some searching and some reading but looking for some fresh ideas. Has anyone done this if so what parts did you use? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I used the RC Bros axle mounts, Chino Military Springs and Tamiya hangers.

I've often considered converting my SCX-10 to leaf sprung... But then... I'd probably hafta purchase another rig. and if I did... might as well just get the TF2 and call it a day. Hopefully you'll post pictures of your transformation... so's I can copy it. Lol |

i got a TF2 after running SCX10's and Wraiths and lets just say i had to ditch those leaf springs in a hurry for a 3/4 link suspension Last edited by pvo_srt4; 09-03-2014 at 12:24 PM. |

An SCX frame with leafs but yota axles. Alot of tweaking and tuning to get it setup but works like a champ. Szczerba's F-Toy #744 ... |

| Re: Building a SCX10 with leaf springs very nice F rig But most SCX-10 leaf conversions using the stock axles would not have the perches or hangers inline with the frame, right ? or possibly the mounts on the stock axle(s) could be offset somehow ? what's the wms measurement for those yota axles ? yeah I'm somewhat lazy to search that. I'm thinking those yota axles might be too wide and place the tires overly offset on my Honcho body for a realistic scale look/appearance ? Think I might instead purchase the TF2 then change the springs out to better units. call me lazy, again. I rather like my SCX-10 linked. not sure I would want to limit that rig. A 2nd rig would prolly be my goal. now if I were to build an F rig... then I might think to copy your direction. 'cause yer's looks swell Are those leaf spring wedges solely for the purpose of improving drive shaft angle ? Yeah I probably didn't read thru your link very well. No issues with the wedge screws not seating flush to the leaf pak surface ? |
