Default Overland Expedition F650

I have been wanting to build a Overland rig for a long time, IMO there would be no better rig than the biggest baddest Ford pickup built.

I present the start of my Overland Expedition F650.
I brought home my new F650, body by Proline. 20" overall length, 8" wide at the fenders, 7 1\2" at the doors.
Rolling on 2.2" rims and 4.3" tires. In bed fuel tank, rather than side fuel tanks, to maintain ground clearance. Aluminum roof rack, roof top tent, some windshield bars, side steps\rocker protection. Also going to put in front and rear winches. And other stuff to.

Thank you, I am hoping I can build the truck to what I am picturing in my mind.

I spent 4 hours on this tonight trying to braze 3 tubes together, failed! So frustrated, new ideas in my head for the roof rack.

the roof rack looks nice, are you going to mount a light bar on it?

Thank you, light bar is integrated into the front of the rack. So yes :-)

Swapped the front wheels/tires out, planning on hitting the trail tomorrow. Mounted the body, hindged in back and Velcro on front. Still need to mount the rack.

And the flex shot. Almost to much, thinking about going to a 70mm shock.

Debating on spare tire placement.
Leaning towards the vertical placement.

I took her apart today, made a front bumper, didn't like it, pulled out another old bumper didn't like it.
Put it all back together. I did swap out the rear springs for some longer ones, and put some "44's" on it.

Applied the decals to the body, not liking the lights(stickers) going to be doing light buckets later. Aluminum bed floor done, next will put in the back to the tool box/fuel tank.

I modified the lights a bit. I put the stickers inside the body, much better imo, still going to do true light buckets. Trimmed the front bumper, and installed some Strc C-hubs.

I installed my front bumper today and took the rig up to Arlee today. Did a little exploring in an old quarry.
Nice clean rigs at the start.

The decent.

Flexing in the creek.

Navigating the boulder field.

On the island.

Bigfoot???

Decending the staircase.
