^^^^i agree with that^^^^

You might look at hardened gears in the axle also....you are applying a lot of power to your drive train...

Post some pics of your new battery placement

I made it about 2 trail runs on the stock gears with a 17.5 motor on 3s before the idler gear blew. I went with the Robinson Racing steel idler gear and bottom gear after that and they have been working great (RRP says they are for the wraith but they fit the SCX10 too).

Yeah. The gears will get replaced as needed. I have the slipper set up nice right now to help but I knew going in it will eventually have to happen.
Will post more pics tomorrow. Moved quite a bit around

Like he said RR is ok also just don't waste your time on the one piece gear that RR makes. I have broke two along with a lot of other people! The stock outputs with any metal gears are fine, plus you have holes in outputs instead of shitty grub screw design!

Good to know. I think that will be at the top of the list next.
Excited to get everything together and how I really want it but shipping to Canada likes to take its time.. Hopefully by Friday.

Okay new ESC mount and battery location. Still waiting on parts as Amain dropped the ball on the shipping speed. I order on Fridays and it usually gets here Thursday or Friday.. Not even in Canada yet.
Tuesday everything should be here minus the new motor.

Btw. Anyone want a full Dingo body with all the roll cage parts? PM me.

Is necessary to make it 4 wheel steering?

I think that depends on where you are driving. Not something I'm interested in

Got this all built up today. Plasti dip black for the matte finish. Going to look killer with the lime green and black stock wheels.

Alll of my parts arrived today. Going to be painting the body sometime this week. Set up the 4 link on the rear. Will do the front when I get a shorter can motor. Just have to mount up the RC4WD light bar and it'll be done. For now

I like it.
It looks to me like you could extend the rear wheelbase 1\2 an inch or so. IMO it would look a bit more proportioned.

Good idea. Might try and fit some spacers in just to see.

I'm also thinking of drawing body lines on it (door seams) with a super fine sharpie

I am going to change mine with sc411, but i have it 4000 and 4600kv.Whether it is too high?
What is the amps of the ESC you use?
Seems the esc is very small size.

I wouldn't go higher than 2400kv. The lower the better for this application. The new motor is around 2400 also.
It's a Castle Mamba Max Pro.
