Default My new to me deadbolt

Came across to guy selling his RC so I picked this up. Pretty close to new. Got for decent price with aluminum Cs, aluminum steering, Aluminum suspension links and junfac ts 02 Shocks. Shock seemed really bouncy can find the other springs for them either. Have to put the suspension links on still.

Got some parts for it: RC4WD 4 inch LED light bar, axial Steel out drives, steel gears for the tranny, VP rock slider mounts, Icon shocks and 1.9 axial bead lock wheels from a friend with some kind of custom ring. If anyone knows who makes them. Let me know and like to buy another set.

I plan to move the battery down lower. The stock tires do pretty good where I crawl. Like to unglued them get some better foams and put them on the bead lock wheels. If someone knows how to get them off the stock rim. Let me know

This is my start for now. Have a good Friday RCC

I boiled my deadbolt's tires to get them unglued. They boiled for about 20 minutes then pushed on the bead (heavy rubber gloves are required for this part), nearly all of the glue came undone. A few spots were still stuck on pretty good so I let them go for another 10 minutes in the water then those spots came off too.

Small update. Got a little bit done last night and this morning. Boiled the tires off the rims. Now I just need some good foams. If someone can recommend a foam let me know. Something waterproof be great. Stripped-down the frame. Going to do the aluminum links now. Finally got my new lipos. 3s 2200. Took the stock transmission out. Going to save that as a spare. Got an RC4WD 2 speed transmission from the classifieds. Going to put that in instead. Wish it had a gear cover. Eventually I'll make one up.. Soldered a jst Connector to a receiver connector to power lights right off the receiver and finally got the Dean's plug, and 4 mm bullet connector soldered on I think they're called.

That's as far as I got for now. Time to get ready for work. Hopefully get more done tonight

Which link kit do you have? If its the one for the 12.3in wheelbase then the front links are the same and you would only need rear links. If its the one for the 11.4 in wheelbase then you could use the lower links as upper links for the Deadbolt.

98mm is the correct length for the front and rear lower links on the Deadbolt.

The upper links from the Axial link kit are 85mm so you would need 4 25mm posts to go with 4 60mm posts.

Over the last few nights. I got some more things on the deadbolt. Got front and rear for linked finally. From what I have been told these shocks our team associated or Losi. Not sure. They are very smooth though. Have heavy-duty gears and some stainless steel locker installed. Might be an older RCP? Don't really know. I had it so I used it. Took out the axial 55 and put in a tekin 55 Crawler motor. Rear axle has aluminum lockouts front axle has aluminum cs, knuckles And Cvds.. As you can see I ground down the Cs some for better steering. Helped out a little. Here are some pictures. Have a ways to go but I'm getting there

Those are Losi shocks, you can tell by the bottom fill design.

The truck is coming along nicely BTW.
