Default Kenneth's Class 2 JK Build

Ok well im going to start my build thread for a project ive been wanting to do for a while now and am now starting to slowly gather parts for it. I am starting it now because this is primarily going to be a winter build. I am going to be building a class 3 JK that is going to be awesome. I havent priced anything out yet but im guessing its going to be close to $600-700 maybe more.

First some inspiration pics.

I am contemplating doing tube doors but im not sure yet

roof rack similar to this

This kind of rear tire carrier

Now onto what parts are going into this build.
New Bright 4Dr JK body
Custom Full interior
Doorless and topless
Custom Rear bumper and tire carrier by BGR Fabrications
R2J Kustoms Stainless Steel Links and Steering Links
MIP Driveshafts
Scx10 Chassis
Wraith Axles
RCMODELEX Roof Rack for Jeep JK
CC BEC
HH 27T motor and Waterproof BRXL
2.2 Pitbull Rockbeasts
Either 2.2 Mickey Thompson Sidebiters or 2.2 Mickey Thompson Steel Wheels
Custom Full Roll Cage done by BGR Fabrications
Lightbar
custom Front stinger bumper
RC4WD wireless Warn Winch
RC4WD Jeep Aluminum front and rear fender flairs
Wraith Skid
Beef tubes front and rear
Krawler Koncepts Scale License Plate
Krawler Koncepts JK Hood Latches
Krawler Koncepts Poison Spyder Hood Louvre
R2J Kustoms JK Sliders
Axial Wraith CVDs
A high torque waterproof servo(not sure which one yet)
LEDs all around
Scale Accessories of course

I think thats it, probably more that i am forgetting. As of right now I have the body, and i have wraith axle housings, knuckles, chubs, aluminum lockouts, and the 4 link trusses on the way. I am very excited to get this build going. gonna be a lot of work but it will be worth it in the end.

Axles and shocks showed up today. Most likely these won't be the shocks I'll run but I got them so I could at least have some. Also still on the fence on whether I will use the ar60 axles or just do the xr mod to scx10 axles will give me the same width but will make figuring out link lengths a breeze. Still need to get the internals, shock mounts and diff cover for the axles but a good start

Got some good news. talked to BGR Fabrications about doing the custom full cage and rear bumper and he said he could do it and he quoted me a price for it all and boy is it high but i expected it to be, quality work comes with a price and im willing to pay that price lol. anyways now to save up for that work to be done. and in the mean time i also have to get started on the interior so i can have it at least started with the main things in place for when i send him the body to do the work. im super stoked for this build and i have barely scratched the surface. also gsrcivic is hooking me up with 2 bearing carriers and 2 shock mounts for the axles. still need internals, 2 more shock mounts, and diff covers. also need your opinions on whether i should do rear steer or not?

Rear steer is like cheating but it'll cost ya.

It's my understanding that the xr mod makes the axle xr width and that ends up being in the middle of the wraith and scx10.

Why don't you just cut down your AR60's to scx width , It would look more scale to the you posted. I think they look great under a JK.

Cool I'll look for them after work. But not sure if I want to as this is a class 3 build but I might make it another class 2 build

Took a look at that thread it seems pretty easy, just not sure I want to do that to the axles. I might just need to think about it some more

Got some bad news for this build. The body that I have that I was going to use for this build isn't going to work it's been broke and glued back together so many times if I do any cutting into it it's not gonna be structurally sound. So I am going the start looking for another jeep body to use for this build. I will still be narrowing the axles and once I do it to this jeep I'll do it for my other jeep as well.

Finally got around to narrowing the wraith axles and just finished the first one. Not bad in my opinion
