Here's a pic to show how I did the battery plate. Also some pics of how I mounted my ESC & switches.I made a lexan L shaped plate and drilled a hole through each plastic wire loom bracket. Then used self tapping screws to mount the lexan plate. The esc & switches are mounted with servo tape.I think it works well & looks nice & tidy!

Nice! Are you still able to adjust the velcro straps on the battery plate with it being zip tied to the frame? I think I might try to bolt mine on but will probably use the bracket for extra space.

Yes I can cinche the battery down with the straps still. They are bound between the frame rails and battery plate.Make sure the buckle end is down close to the top of the plate before snugging the zip ties. The truck definitely wheels better with the battery in this location.

Sweet thanks!

I looked again at how you are running the straps and now it makes sense. I have mine looped through in a different (dumber) way. haha

We hardly ever get snow. I went with a different toy. It gets me to some cool places to crawl too! Bingham Mtn, Jackson Co. Alabama.

Great work so far, RiderZ! LOVE the Camel Yellow!

Gotta ask about your G6s, in reference to the pic above, about ride height/suspension. It looks to me like both are built with the stock Icon shocks, correct? And the G6 #1 has the body posts lifted a notch or two, yes? (and some of the effect is the taller tires, of course)

Can you share please? Thanks.

Look at the third pic in post #26.I used the GearHead lift kit. Also the Compass tires are a tad taller than the Treps.Handles great.Little less top heavy with the Silverado body.

My my Axial beadlock wheels came in.Also installed some softer springs.I think these wheels look much nicer with some GearHead rings.Gonna have to order a set for these wheels.Thinking about a Proline 72'Chevy to replace the Jeep body.

Cool. Look forward to seeing the changes. Trying to resist the Pro-Line '73 Bronco body myself.

If you start a new thread make sure you link it here too.

I agree! My wife loves the old bronco look. I am partial to the 72 Chevy tho. I know early how I want them both to look if I do either. I just won want the Chevy body to get beat up haha
